Setting up a bitcoin wallet

First you need to head over to bitcoin.org and read about all the different providers of a wallet and choose the one that is best for you.
When choosing a wallet make sure that you take into consideration your needs for security and backups. An online provider that promises life-time security might seem like a great choice, but backing up your wallet personally to a USB or a Dropbox account might be a cheaper and just as secure option. Make sure when setting up your wallet that you use very secure passwords as you do not want anyone to have access to your account! Once you get a wallet set up you will need the bitcoin address which is a 34 character string that is unique to your account.
